ushing the envelope for what is possible in pre-hospital treatment, Life Line, The Center for Resuscitation Medicine of University of Minnesota Twin Cities and 94 Services of Monticello, MN teamed up to build the “first of its kind” mobile unit for emergency cardiac arrest care utilizing ECMO ability to increase the survival rate of patients in cardiac arrest in a pre-hospital setting. This would potentially save hours that it would normally take to get a patient in cardiac arrest to a hospital able to perform this procedure.
